One Night Stand...

It's not a sleazy as it sounds. One Night Stand is a great event to help support a great cause... and I'm part of it. Myself and a whole bunch of other artists have each donated a piece of art in support of an auction to benefit Art From Scrap in Santa Barbara. During the auction, no names of the artists will be revealed until after the work is sold. So... you wont know if you are getting A Yoko Ono, Jeff Bridges, or Larry Mills original until it moves you enough to buy it. All of the art was created at the same size, on a piece of 9X9 inch mason board provided to us, and will be sold at the same price of $200. All proceeds go directly to AFS.

I'd post a pic of my piece but... that wouldn't be fair. I'd post one after the auction is over but... I forgot to take a picture of it before I sent it off to the West Coast. If you are in SB during the event (details below), go see if you can guess which is mine... and buy it!

The Commute...

The last time I posted, I was working at a warehouse and living in Northwood, NH. Technically I still live in Northwood, but am currently staying in Andover, MA and commuting into Boston each morning. I have a new job selling cameras for Hunt's Photo in Kenmore Square, near Fenway.

Today was actually my first day of work but I took a dry run on the train yesterday to see if I knew what the hell I was doing. It turns out... commuting from Andover (25 miles or so, North of Boston on the 93) is a pain in the ass. It takes up a lot of my time each day going to and from, but while I'm on the train (both commuter rail and subway) I find it's the only time I remember to take pictures. Or... stop for second to do so.

Here are few random images I snapped on my practice run yesterday and today's commute...
