With all due respect... I wont miss you that much. Your reproductive qualities left me often frustrated. Your color shifts were a pain in my ass when I worked in imaging labs making slide dupes and internegatives. During the digital age you have proven to be the same thorn in my side when I scan you. More color shifts and exaggerated grain.
Thank you for revolutionizing color photography... but I'm really not that sad to see you go.

perfect eulogy!
It is easy to get bummed out that technology is changing the way we work and certain tools of nostalgia are becoming obsolete. For all the people who were sad that Kodachrome is gone after 75 years, I just want to ask them "When was the last time they shot a roll of it?"
how funny! I ordered a roll about two weeks before the announcement, and have not used it since I went to, believe it or not, Utah's Kodachrome Basin in 1999.
